  1. The Connells must be one of the most underrated bands this side of the pond. This album is virtually timeless and very stylish, featuring the writing writing talents of Mike Connell. If you have a few quid burning a hole in your pocket and either a gap in your CD collection or space on your iPod, do yourself a favour: Get "Ring". You won't /5(50).

After scoring a college radio hit with "Stone Cold Yesterday" from 's One Simple Word, the Connells followed up with their strongest effort to date, the radio-ready sioxamanaconpo.klepenpomavasbulirestopktendpope.co muddy production and underdeveloped songs occasionally plagued their earlier releases, Ring is an album aimed squarely at the mainstream, and is a clear attempt to pick up on fans of R.E.M., alt-country like Uncle 8/

  4. If you were to look at the albums I've reviewed here on Amazon, you'd see it's generally hard rock and metal albums, so "Ring" by the Connells is somewhat of a departure for me. I picked this album up back in the 90's after seeing them open for another band here in Baltimore (no idea who the headliner was), but clearly the Connells made an /5(51).

  8. referencing Ring, LP, Album, Gat, 4 1 8 Such an iconic album is hugely deserving of a new pressing. Considering it was only ever issued on vinyl in Greece in and yet contains the bands biggest 'hit' is just plain weird.
