  1. In Search of is the debut studio album by American funk rock band N.E.R.D. The group originally released the album on August 6, in Europe, where Kelis' Wanderland—produced by The Neptunes, consisting of N.E.R.D members Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo—was better received. Similarly to Kelis' early work, the original version of In Search of juxtaposes hip hop and rock influences Genre: Funk rock, electro-R&B, alternative hip hop.

  3. What I wasn't expecting at ALL and was very pleased to find on the disc is the three music videos (also mixed into !), the lyrics to every song on the album, and pictures of N.E.R.D. Bottom line, if you are into the album, or into N.E.R.D and have a system that can do surround, this dvd-audio disc is more than worth the price you'll pay 5/5(3).

May 15,  · N.E.R.D. are nothing if they’re not clever, and they brilliantly constructed a back-story to accompany their debut album, In Search Of As every rock critic in the Western world has said in his review of the album, they originally released the record in Europe, then decided it was crap, withdrew it, re-recorded it with a live band, and then.

The year is , the artist is N.E.R.D, and the album is ‘In Search Of ’ The background bit – N.E.R.D (acronym for No-one Ever Really Dies) were made up of Williams and Chad Hugo, who’d become a successful production duo together throughout the ‘90s under the guise of The Neptunes, and third member Shay Haley.
